Photographic Essays

« In the great tradition of humanist photography of such masters as Diane Arbus, Mary Ellen Mark and Eugene Smith, here are two photo essays by Jean Lagacé.

 

For some time I just stared and keenly observed the way he moved and reacted generally. Indeed he behaved fairly unaware of his immediate surroundings.

 

Gradually, almost instinctively, I felt the need to photograph him and so, I approached him.

 

“May I take your picture?” I asked »
