« Pierre Dalpé is a Montreal-based photographer whose work is a fusion of analog and digital photography. His art explores the interconnected relationships between the body, identity, disguise and performance. Dalpé’s new monograph encompasses work created over a span of twenty-two years—beginning in 1990, up to and including recent work. This book features Dalpé’s body of work entitled Personae, a series which questions the notion of a predetermined identity and also explores the idea that individuals potentially embody a multitude of personae. »
The monograph includes critical essays by Penny Cousineau-Levine, Dayna McLeod and Karl-Gilbert Murray, and is the first in a collection of photography books—entitled Parcours—to be published by Les Éditions Cayenne.
